Since starting my career, I have intentionally diversified my experience to all facets of communication. From producing news to consumer PR, product PR to media relations and corporate communication, and more recently leading internal and HR communication at major tech companies including Yahoo, Oath, GoDaddy and Opendoor. I have led countless transitions, navigated more crises than I can count, and shepherded thousands of employees through complex acquisitions and integrations. I have a passion for navigating difficult situations and an ability to drive communication strategy through complicated corporate issues, some of which many companies never experience.
In 2018, I launched After Ever Communications to expand my employee communication work to a variety of clients and industries. Running my own shop has proven to be meaningful and full of growth. While After Ever Communications continueds to thrive, in 2022 I joined Simpplr as their Vice President of Employee Experience Strategy and Transformation. I'm focused on helping Simpplr elevate the employee experience by driving innovation and reimagining employee communication in today's world.
Prior to spending 10+ years in the tech industry, I spent time working on public relations campaigns for celebrities, consumer brands, and media companies. I started my career as a news producer at ABC and paid my dues as an NBC Page working on shows like Saturday Night Live, The Late Show with Conan O'Brien, and The Today Show
A former Mountaineer, I am now an adjunct communication professor at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. In my local community, I sit on a variety of boards including the Appalachian State University Foundation Board, Silicon Hollar Advisory Board, and as a Lavender House Incubator advisor. I am passionate about working with small businesses and entrepreneurs in local communities. In the past I’ve served as the Appalachian Alumni Association President, a member Board of Visitors, and an ex-officio member of the Board of Trustees at Appalachian State University.
Don't just take it from me!
